General Information

The Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants 51st Annual Fall CME Conference will once again follow the hybrid format offering the option to earn CME through live presentations, virtual streaming and the On-Demand Library.

The OAPA conference is designed to provide you with the most valuable educational program with dynamic speakers who will assist PAs in their ongoing efforts to remain current with medical knowledge, clinical skills, and health care issues. More than that, the OAPA Conference provides you the opportunity to catch-up with or meet new colleagues.

Full registration includes three days of CME sessions for a total of 25 Category I CME credits for both In-Person and Virtual, plus the On-Demand Library until December 31, 2024. Daily registration is only available in person and includes CME for the day you register. The In-Person Conference will include the Thursday evening reception and meals for the days you register. Full conference registration also includes a discount for your 2025 OAPA membership!

Accommodations

The beautiful Embassy Suites, 741 North Phillips Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK will be the host convention center. Special room rates of $139 per night for a Standard Room will be available. Reservations can be made HERE. All reservations must be made by the cut-off date of September 3rd @ 12:00 midnight to receive this negotiated group rate. Please note that availability is subject to guest room block and may be filled prior to the cut-off date, so please make reservations early to avoid unavailability or rate change.

CME Credit

The program is not yet approved for CME credit. Conference organizers plan to request 25 hours of AAPA Category I CME credit. An additional 12 hours of Category I CME will be available through the BLS/PALS/ACLS workshops.

The program will include the required Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision one-hour Category I CME on the topic of substance abuse. This lecture is scheduled for Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 6:15 pm.

CME Logging

OAPA members registered for the conference and who have completed the session evaluation for each lecture attended will have their CME hours logged automatically with the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure.

The OAPA will participate in the NCCPA CME Conference Logging System. This is an added benefit to significantly simplify the logging process with NCCPA. Participants will receive a unique link to a list of conference activities on your certification page. This will be a point-and-click approach, and credits logged this way are not subject to the NCCPA AUDIT because they are already confirmed by the OAPA.

OAPA Thursday Night Reception

Make plans to attend the OAPA Thursday Night Reception. Come and enjoy the food, drinks, and door prizes. Have fun mingling and catching up with your colleagues.

Exhibit Hall

Exhibitors will be present displaying products and services of interest. Exhibits will open at 9:00 am on Wednesday, October 2 and close at 5:00 pm. They will reopen at 8:00 am Thursday morning and will close and dismantle after the last break. Be sure to stop by the exhibitors to pick up tickets to enter into the drawings during the Wednesday and Thursday breaks! Name badges must be worn in the convention center.
