Brittany Brand Poinson, M.D., M.S. Ed, is originally from California. She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education at the University of Miami, in Florida. She earned her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. She completed pediatric residency at University of Florida at Orlando Health in Orlando, FL and pediatric neurology at LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans, LA. She was able to merge her interests of neurology and sports by completing a sports neurology fellowship at LifeBridge Health in Baltimore, MD. She is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in the Division of Child Neurology. She is board certified neurologist and she collaborates with the pediatric sports medicine team to develop a Comprehensive Concussion Clinic.
