Brett Purvis, PA-C

Brett Purvis, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Associate with 18 years of experience in orthopedic and sports medicine care. A native of Belle Plaine, Kansas, Brett has lived in the Edmond/Oklahoma City area since 2008 and has dedicated his career to helping patients recover from orthopedic injuries and return to the activities they enjoy.

After earning his Bachelor of Science from Southwest Missouri State University and a Master of Science in Education from the University of Miami, Brett worked as a certified athletic trainer with athletes at the NCAA, NFL, and U.S. Olympic levels. He later completed Physician Associate training at Missouri State University and a sports medicine fellowship in knee and shoulder care at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado.

Brett currently practices at Just Orthopedics Express, specializing in non-operative orthopedic care for acute injuries, sports-related conditions, and chronic joint pain. His expertise includes comprehensive orthopedic evaluations, joint and arthrogram injections, fluoroscopic-guided procedures, casting and bracing, physical therapy coordination, and individualized treatment plans designed to help patients avoid surgery whenever possible.

Brett has served as a guest lecturer for orthopedic evaluation and orthopedic radiology for Physician Associate programs at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City University, and Missouri State University, and was named Oklahoma Physician Associate of the Year in 2018. Outside of medicine, Brett enjoys traveling (especially to visit the kids), attending concerts, and spending time at his farm in the Ozark Mountains.
