The Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants is excited to announce that this year's 49th Annual Fall CME Conference will be celebrating 50 years of the PA Profession starting in Oklahoma! Special events are being planned to include a reception and tours of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, hosted by the OUHSC PA Program. All are welcome to participate!
The conference is scheduled for September 21 - 23, 2022, and will offer three days of educational activities that will assist PAs in their ongoing efforts to remain current with medical knowledge, clinical skills, and health care issues to enhance the PAs ability to provide quality care to patients. The topics for this program were selected by monitoring trends in current therapies, medical advances, and past program evaluations.
This year we will once again offer attendees the option of attending in-person or virtually, along with access to the On-Demand Library until December 31, 2022. This allows you the opportunity to obtain CME credit in a venue that is convenient for you!
The beautiful Embassy Suites Norman – Hotel & Conference Center, 2501 Conference Drive, Norman, OK will be the host convention center. Special room rates of $137 per night will be available to exhibitors. Reservations can be made online HERE. Guests should enter Group Code: OAP when prompted. All reservations must be made by the cut-off date of September 5th, 12:00 midnight to receive this negotiated group rate. Please note that availability is subject to guest room block and may be filled prior to the cut-off date, so please make reservations early to avoid unavailability or rate change.
Conference organizers plan to request 25 hours of AAPA Category I CME credit. An additional 16 hours of Category I CME will be available through the BLS/PALS/ACLS workshops. The program will include the required Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision one-hour Category I CME on the topic of substance abuse.
OAPA members registered for the conference and who have completed the session evaluation for each lecture attended will have their CME hours logged automatically with the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure.
The OAPA will participate in the NCCPA CME Conference Logging System. This is an added benefit to significantly simplify the logging process with NCCPA. Participants will receive a unique link to a list of conference activities on your certification page. This will be a point-and-click approach, and credits logged this way are not subject to the NCCPA AUDIT because they are already confirmed by the OAPA.
The Exhibit Hall will open at 9:00 am on Wednesday, September 21st, and close at 5:00 pm. It will re-open at 8:00 am, Thursday, September 22th, and close and dismantle after the last break.
