Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants
50th Annual CME Conference
September 13 – September 15, 2023
General Information
The Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants 50th Annual Fall CME Conference will once again follow the hybrid format offering the option to earn CME through live presentations, virtual streaming and the On-Demand Library
The OAPA conference is designed to provide you with the most valuable educational program with dynamic speakers who will assist PAs in their ongoing efforts to remain current with medical knowledge, clinical skills, and health care issues. More than that, the OAPA Conference provides you the opportunity to catch-up or meet new colleagues, and this year to celebrate 50 years of the OAPA!
Accommodations
The popular River Spirit Casino Resort, Tulsa, OK will be this year’s venue to celebrate 50 years! This venue features a luxurious 483-room hotel rising 27 stories into the sky, a 30,000-square foot smoke-free convention center that is attached to the hotel, a 2,500 seat Paradise Cove Theater for live entertainment and sporting events, a tropical-themed resort pool and bar area, a variety of bars and restaurants plus a 50,000-square foot Margaretville Casino and Restaurant.
The special negotiated room rate is $149.00 for a single or double and $249.00 for a limited number of signature suites. The charge for triple and/or quad is $20.00 over the quoted guest room rate. Children under the age of 15 years may share a room with their parents at not additional charge if extra bedding is not required.
Hotel reservations can be made by calling the toll-free number 888-748-3731 and identifying yourself as being with the Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants.
The special room rate is available until August 21, 2023, or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first. Please make your reservations NOW to avoid unavailability or a rate change!
CME Credit
The program is not yet approved for CME credit. Conference organizers plan to request 25 hours of AAPA Category I CME credit. An additional 12 hours of Category I CME will be available through the BLS/PALS/ACLS workshops.
The program will include the required Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision one-hour Category I CME on the topic of substance abuse. This lecture is scheduled for Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 6:15 pm.
CME Logging
OAPA members registered for the conference and who have completed the session evaluation for each lecture attended will have their CME hours logged automatically with the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure.
The OAPA will participate in the NCCPA CME Conference Logging System. This is an added benefit to significantly simplify the logging process with NCCPA. Participants will receive a unique link to a list of conference activities on your certification page. This will be a point-and-click approach, and credits logged this way are not subject to the NCCPA AUDIT because they are already confirmed by the OAPA.
