
Hannah Jacobs is the Prescription Monitoring Program training specialist at the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. She primarily teaches those in the medical field and public health realm about the program, its capabilities, and relevant compliance requirements. She also creates all necessary training guides and materials. She celebrated her first year at the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics this past January. She graduated from Oklahoma City University in the spring of 2023 with a bachelor’s in political science, and she is currently on track to complete her master’s in public administration in the spring of 2026. As the daughter of two practicing physicians, she aspires to assist with outreach to the medical field to improve the collective knowledge of the program and its requirements.
Oklahoma’s Prescription Monitoring Program: Its Utility and Required Use
Objectives:
- List the requirements in Title 63 and Title 475.
- Identify the PMP requirements, OBN prescription pad requirements, reporting lost/theft CDS requirements, OBN Registration requirements, etc.
- Implement the full functionality of the PMP and the available tools that it provides.
- Examine how the PMP contributes to patient care and public health services in addition to enforcement.
