The Implementation of PAs in a Disaster – the April 27th, 2024, Sulphur Tornado: An Oklahoma Experience

Objectives:

  • Describe and discuss the Oklahoma REMSS Teams,
  • Describe and discuss the use of PAs in the April 27th, 2024 Sulphur Tornado Response and Recovery Efforts,
  • Examine the future of PAs deploying in disasters alongside REMSS Teams

WORKSHOP: The Art of Medicine – A Warrior Profession: Developing A Warrior’s Mindset to Cultivate Resilience and Professional Longevity.

This course is designed to:

1. Address the unique healthcare on-the-job dangers (i.e., highly infectious diseases, active shooters, mass casualties), shift creep, professional burnout/stress, and suicide among healthcare and first responders.  

2. Assist participants in developing resources and support tools that help build resiliency and perseverance and promote professional longevity.
