Lee earned a Bachelor of Science in radiologic technology radiation therapy from the University of Oklahoma in 2004. In 2010, she graduated from the OU School of Community Medicine PA Program. Lee currently serves as an assistant professor and the Director of Preclinical Education for the OU School of Community Medicine PA Program in Tulsa. She also serves as a faculty attending at the OU Bedlam Clinic. Prior to becoming PA faculty, Lee’s clinical experience includes internal medicine, gastroenterology, and hematology/oncology.
Cirrhosis in Primary Care: Evidence Based Updates in Screening,
Monitoring, and Management
Objectives:
- Identify current guideline-based approaches for the diagnosis, staging, and risk stratification of patients with cirrhosis in the primary care setting.
- Apply updated management strategies for common causes of cirrhosis and cirrhosis complications, including ascites, hepatic encephalopathy, variceal bleeding prevention, and spontaneous bacterial peritonitis.
- Implement recommended screening and preventive care measures for patients with cirrhosis, including hepatocellular carcinoma surveillance, vaccination, nutrition, and medication safety.
- Recognize clinical features of hepatic decompensation and identify indications for hepatology referral and transplant evaluation.
