Physician Assistant Political Action Committee
The Oklahoma Physician Assistant Political Action Committee is the political branch of the OAPA and is involved in a number of activities which support the OAPA and our profession in this state. We sponsor the PA Half-Day at the Capitol where members of the OAPA visit with our legislators to educate them about our profession and any issues that may be pending at the Capitol. Many members invite their legislators to lunch or dinner to answer his/her questions about our profession. We also collect and maintain funds used to support election or re-election campaigns of those legislators friendly to our profession and any other political activities in which the OAPA is involved.
We need your help.
In order to accomplish the above goals, we need adequate funds. OAPA members may send one-time donations to PAPAC at any time of the year. Members may also make ten-month pledges at the state convention each year with a wide variety of payment options available. We have different levels of giving which are recognized at the convention each year. Your generosity and support are appreciated.
We cannot have the visibility at the capital and access to legislators without PAPAC. Your funds play a vital role in the political process that keeps our profession moving forward and allows us to defend opposition that seeks to harm it.
