Michelle Lewis, PharmD., BCPS, AAHIVP 


Dr. Michelle Lewis is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine with the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with both a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington prior to returning to OU to complete a specialty residency in Infectious Diseases emphasizing HIV care. In her current role, she serves as a HIV clinical pharmacist as well as the Co-Clinical Director of the AIDS Education and Training Center partner site located at OU.  

Advances in HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)

Objectives:

  • Discuss rationale and recommendations for providing HIV PrEP.
  • Evaluated data supporting lenacapavir use in HIV PrEP.
  • Review pharmacotherapeutic options available for HIV PrEP including prescribing considerations.
