 44th Annual CME Conference

River Spirit Casino Resort

September 20 - 22, 2017

The Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants 44th Annual Fall CME Conference is designed to provide educational activities that will assist PAs in their ongoing efforts to remain current with medical knowledge, clinical skills, and health care issues.  The topics of this program were selected by monitoring trends in current therapies and medical advances as well as past program evaluations.

Accommodations

The conference will be at the beautiful, new, and spacious River Spirit Resort Casino.  This hotel features luxurious 483-room hotel rising 27 stories into the sky, a 30,000 square foot convention and meeting center, a 2,500 seat Paradise Cove Theater for live entertainment and sporting events, a tropical-themed resort pool and bar area, a variety of bars and restaurants plus a 50,000 square foot Margaritaville Casino and Margaritaville Restaurant.

The special negotiated room rate is $119.00.  Hotel reservations can be made by calling the hotel at 918-299-8518 and refer to group code "8214762". Reservations can also be made on-line at River Spirit Casino Resort using the same group code "8214762".

The special room rate is available until September 4, 2017 or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first.  Please make your reservations NOW to avoid unavailability or a rate change!

CME Credit

This program is not yet approved for CME credit.  Conference organizers plan to request 25 hours of AAPA Category I CME credit.

The program will also provide optional workshops. The program will include the required Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision one-hour Category I CME on the topic of substance abuse.

CME Logging

OAPA members registered for all three days of conference will have their CME hours logged automatically with the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure.  Attendees who don’t attend all sessions and/or three days will need to log CME hours attended on the OAPA website.

The OAPA will once again participate in the NCCPA CME Conference Logging System.  This is an added benefit to significantly simplify the logging process with NCCPA.  Participants will receive a unique link to a list of conference activities in your personal certification page.  This will be a point-and-click approach and credits logged this way aren’t subject to the NCCPA AUDIT because they are already confirmed by the OAPA.

Exhibit Hall

The Exhibit Hall will open at 9:00 am on Wednesday, September 20th and close at 5:00 pm.  It will re-open 8:00 am, Thursday, September 21st and close and dismantle after the last break.  Back by popular request will be the exhibitor signature cards that will be entered into a drawing for an amazing prize! Name badges must be worn in Exhibit Hall.
