Alexandrea (Alex) Wadley is a licensed certified genetic counselor who received her Masters of Medical Science from Emory University School of Medicine in 2014. She currently works at OU Health and prior to becoming the Assistant Director of the Masters of Science in Genetic Counseling Program in 2017 she worked as a full-time clinic genetic counseling seeing both pediatric and adult patients in the general clinic and oncology clinic settings. Alex is involved in teaching, supervising, and mentoring the genetic counseling students, medical genetics residents, and also provides guest lectures to first year medical and first year PA students at OU Health Sciences Center. When she is not teaching and supervising she practices as a general genetic counselor continuing to see both pediatric and adult patients for a variety of indications ranging from multiple congenital anomalies to inherited cardiovascular diseases to inherited cancer syndromes.
